Bringing customers back: revisit intervals by business type
RootPro Technologies · Updated · 5 min read
Repeat customers are the cheapest customers you'll ever have — they already trust you. The trick is reaching them just before they would have come anyway, not after they've drifted to someone else.
Typical intervals
- Barber: 21–30 days for a regular cut; 14–21 days for short fades.
- Salon: facials every 3–5 weeks; hair colour roots every 4–6 weeks.
- Bike service: about every 90 days or 2,500–3,000 km.
- Car service: every 6 months or as per the manual.
- AC service: before summer and every 6 months in heavy use.
- Gym: renewal reminders 3–7 days before a plan ends.
- Tailor: seasonal — before weddings and major festivals.
Use your own data
These are starting points. Your real interval is in your records: look at five regulars and count the days between their last three visits. Use our free revisit calculator to work it out, then set that as your default.
Remind, don't broadcast
One personal message to the three people due today beats a weekly blast to everyone. It feels like you remembered them — because you did.
