Privacy policy

This policy explains how RootPro Technologies (“we”) handles data in RootCue. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, write to support@rootpro.in.

Two kinds of data

• Your account data — your name, email, phone, business name, language and settings. We are responsible for this data.
• Your customers' data — the names, phone numbers, notes, next actions and history you enter or sync into RootCue. You control this data; we process it only to provide RootCue to you.

What we don't do

• We don't sell data, and we don't use your customers' data for advertising.
• We don't train AI models on your customers' data.
• We don't send messages to your customers. Messages open in WhatsApp or your SMS app and you decide whether to send them.
• We don't read your call log, contacts list, SMS or call recordings.

Phone permissions (Android)

If you turn on “Ask what happened after calls”, RootCue asks for the phone-state permission. It is used only to notice when a call you started from RootCue ends, so it can ask what should happen next. We don't read the call log, and nothing about other calls is stored or sent to us. You can turn this off at any time; calling still works without it.

Notifications

We send reminders about your due follow-ups. Notification content is kept short; you can hide customer names in notifications from Settings.

Where data is stored

RootCue data is stored in databases we operate, with encrypted backups. Connector credentials are encrypted at rest. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. The app keeps a copy of your Today list and recent customers on your device so it works offline; signing out removes it.

Payments

Card, UPI and netbanking payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details. We keep payment records and invoices as required by law.

Analytics

We record product events (for example, “follow-up completed”) without customer names, phone numbers or message text, to understand what helps and what doesn't. The marketing website doesn't use advertising trackers.

Your rights

• Export your workspace data from the app at any time (More → Account → Privacy).
• Correct any information from the app, or ask us to.
• Delete your account — see how to delete your account.

Retention

When you delete a workspace we remove its customer data after a short recovery window, and from backups as they expire. We keep invoices and payment records for the period required by Indian tax law, and security logs for a limited period.

Children

RootCue is a business tool and is not intended for children under 18.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.

Grievance officer

If you have a complaint about how your data or content is handled, write to our grievance officer, Prince Raja, at princeraja@rootpro.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
